Episode Summary

Pablo Picasso said, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”. Maros Hrnciarik’s life has been anything but mundane, with his art inviting us to explore a world of ideas and possibilities. The Slovakian sculptor’s work includes everything from the restoration of historic European statues to modern sculptures imbued with a sense of humour encouraging playful engagement. Maros is currently studying Marketing and Leadership at Australian Pacific College on the Gold Coast, but that hasn’t stopped him also working on a number of local projects, including a major sculpture as part of an artificial diving reef being built off-shore and the new Atlantis installation at Sea World.
