Ojay Moka grew up in Papua and New Guinea, nurtured within a large family and close-knit community that were his entire world, so his decision to study on the Gold Coast was a huge step outside of his comfort zone. The challenges of adapting to a new culture quickly dissipated with the realisation that he’d made the best decision of his life. The Southern Cross University graduate now encourages other young people of the Pacific region to discover the value of higher education by following in his footsteps.
